Joining Inspire Learning Partnership
At Inspire Learning Partnership collaboration, innovation and individuality converge enabling our schools to support our mission of Transforming Lives and Building Futures
Our process for welcoming new schools into our Trust is a supportive, informative and clear process which follows an eight step approach, a summary is included below:
Step 1: Expression of Interest
This stage looks to build relationships between Inspire Learning Partnership and your school. Key leaders are available to meet with you, your Governing Body or equivalent and your schools to discuss options for joining, whether it be a formal route, or to explore a partnership offer approach. For Trust Partnerships, we will begin to work together to explore how this approach would work for both parties. For a more formal route, we will begin discussions to agree the approach to due diligence for both parties, and move through the formal joining steps below.
Step 2: Mutual Due Diligence
Recognising that both parties are undertaking a significant decision we always recommend a mutual approach to due diligence; based upon evidence and risk based approach. We work alongside each school to understand and learn about all aspects of the school and encourage each new school to do the same with Inspire Learning Partnership Trust.
Step 3: Agreement in Principle
Having completed due diligence, both parties issue formal agreement from both the school Governing Body/Trust Board and the Board of Trustees of Inspire Learning Partnership.
Step 4: DfE Approval
The Trust in partnership with the incoming school will submit a paper to the DfE Regions Group Advisory Board where a decision will be made by the Regional Schools Director.
Step 5: Legal
With our agreement in principle in place and a timeline for transfer agreed; we appoint legal advisors to undertake all aspects of legal transfer. At a minimum this will include:
- Deed of Transfer
- Common Transfer Agreement
- Land Transfers
- Funding Agreements
- TUPE
Step 6: Final Approvals
With legal due diligence completed each Board will make a final recommendation to proceed with joining Inspire Learning Partnership.
Step 7: Transition & on Boarding
Underpinned by an agreed project plan, Inspire Learning Partnership supports your school or SAT through a full transition process. This includes:
- Setup with our financial system
- Onboarding to our Trust systems
- Full staff training and induction to support their move to our processes and systems
- Introduction to our Central Team who will work in partnership with you going forward
- Introduction to Inspire Learning Partnership for your staff, families and communities
Step 8: Welcome Day
Inspire Learning Partnership will organise a press release and the Central Team and Trustees will attend the school to formally welcome you to the Trust.
